Relax NG şeması, belirtimin bu düzenlemesinde tanımlanmamış olan Atom isim alanındaki elemanları açıkça dışlar. Böyle bir imlemeyi saptayan Atom İşlemcileri için gereksinimlerden Atom Söz Dağarcığına Eklemeler ve Yabancı İmlemenin İşlenmesi bölümlerinde bahsedilmişti.
